‘’Ashes and Snow’’ is a poetical dance performance by Tibetan – Chinese dancer and choreographer Cai Rang Ren Qing who created this work especially for the Latvian dancers during his residency in Latvia. The choreographer himself describes his dance piece: “Slowly, clearly, without a stop. Just like our life, beautiful and confusing at the same time.”

Cai Rang Ren Qing is Tibetan-Chinese dancer and choreographer. In 2013 he graduated the bachelor's program of dance in Minzu University of China. Ren Qing gained dance background and professional skills in Gansu Provincial Song and Dance Theatre where he worked as a principal dancer till 2006. In 2012–2014 he worked as a dancer and choreographer in Beijing Contemporary Dance Theatre. Since 2015 Ren is working as a freelancer. He gained few international awards and got full Scholarship to study at the China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European Countries) Summer Dance Camp (2015).
