Despite emerging independently the themes of the festival and the exhibition perfectly complement each other. The program of the festival “Time to Dance” this year particularly focuses on the choreographers, dancers and performance artists around and over the age of 50. The activities of the festival – performances, workshops, improvisations, jam session and excursion-lecture-discussion – will foster reflection about what dance artists over 50 gives to the audience and younger dancers. In its turn, the exhibition of the Zuzāns Collection Golden Years, which is on display in the Main Gallery of the Mūkusala Art Salon until June 22, aims to clarify the blurred borders of the autumn of life through use of visual associations and seemingly worn metaphors.
